5th stay at The Crown, and it was as consistent as the first time we were here in 2018. It really is the perfect bolt hole away from it all. Immaculately clean throughout, rooms, dining room and bar. Stacks of parking too – no stress. Couldn't be easier to get to or a more relaxing place to stay and fully decompress from the stress of London. What also really stands out is the number of the team that have been working here over the years, which is lovely and positive to see. We have discovered that the duty manager has been working here for 25 plus years, which also says it all and is a testiment to The Crown! All the team were very attentive and so engaged with the guests by exceptional service with a smile! Breakfast is first class, with fresh local produce, a full English or continental. Evening 2 for 1 cocktails are first class. No corner cutting, and I simply couldn't fault it! Took our mother and father-in-law to The Crown for their first visit, and they absolutely loved it! So much so that we contemplated asking if we could extend our stay by another night to 4 nights. We will be back again in September with them. 10/10. Dan and Nick,

It’s good to have a decent restaurant in the hotel. The room was comfortable. Some noise due to creakiness of the building. We enjoyed staying here. Car access is not the easiest especially with weekend traffic but it’s manageable.

We took our 5 month old Cockapoo to get used to travelling and staying in hotels. The staff were amazing very helpful & friendly. Stephen in the bar very attentive and the staff on reception were excellent and big thank you to the night manager who let my wife and dog go out early in the mornings. Great breakfasts, rooms very good we stayed in the Scarlett suite spacious and warm.

lovely hotel, beautifully decorated and has a cool ancient elevator. the location is excellent, near local shops and new forest trails. the service was very attentive and breakfast was tasty and quite varied. nice view of the church across the street, only you can still hear the bells in the morning.

A great hotel with fantastic staff. The advertise themselves as being dog friendly, dog tolerance is a better way to describe them. We had a dog with us but couldn't eat in any restaurant or bar, we were put in a separate area alone with our dog. For that reason its definitely not dog friendly. Shame this spoilt an otherwise good little break. I explained this all to the manager Andrew.

I went for the cream tea and it was amazing. They had the scones (with clotted cream and jam) and also sandwiches such as a smoked salmon and egg, so while I didn't have the rooms, I can say that the cream tea is great.
